02 · The math
Your split is a tax on your best year.
On a split, the better you do, the more you pay. At AXEN the fee stops at a cap — and the coordinator comes with it.
Where one $10,000 commission goes
One $10,000 commission, before any cap. Monthly fees are left out because they are not per deal. Splits can be negotiated.

- When an agent you brought in closes a deal that pays a file fee, each of the 5 levels above them gets a flat amount.
- $100 per level when the closing agent is on Pro. $200 when they are on Elite.
- Referrals and leases pay too: the whole 10% fee is split across the 5 levels. A $4,000 referral pays $80 a level.
- Small deals work the same way. Under $2,500 of commission, the whole 10% fee is split across the 5 levels. A $2,000 sale pays $40 a level.

Which one are you? 8 quick answers
I'm brand new
Start with AXEN University. A mentor works your first deals with you and only gets paid when you close. On a small deal (under $2,500 of commission), the fee is just 10% of it.
I'm a top producer
Your split is a tax on your best year. Here it stops at a $6,000 cap, and a coordinator is on every file. Run your own number below.
I'm at eXp or Real for rev share
AXEN pays a flat $100 a level ($200 on Elite) on every fee-paying closing, 5 levels deep, with no unlock rules. Not a promise of income. The full rules are in the fine print. What we do not offer: stock.
I love my big brand
Your clients hire you. Keep more of every check and put it into your own brand, your own marketing, your own team.
I'm part-time
Under $2,500 of commission, the file fee is 10% of it. The platform fee can come out of your first closing. Nothing is charged until your license is active here.
I'll move after I cap
Every closing between now and then is charged at your old split. Say you are 60% of the way there. That last 40% is the priciest money you pay all year, to reach a line that resets in 12 months. And you don't have to choose: on Elite, what you already paid toward your old cap this year is credited to your AXEN cap (Reverse Sign-On). There are terms, so read the addendum.
My broker says they'll match it
That split was there the whole time. They offered it when you had a foot out the door, and they can take it back. Ask for it in writing, for every agent, with no minimum. Ours is published and the same for everyone. Nothing to negotiate, nothing to lose later.
I'm scared to switch
Fair. The switch is a checklist, not a leap. A short form and a license transfer. Pendings your old broker releases cost you $0 here. Your team can come. Your own contacts stay yours. See it step by step below.
08 · The switch
The switch, step by step
Switching is a checklist, not a leap.
1Talk or sign
Book a Why AXEN call, or sign in 10–20 minutes online. Pick Pro or Elite and how to pay the platform fee.
2Your license moves
Follow the transfer checklist for your state: license, board and MLS. Your state broker is there if something sticks.
3Pendings and listings
Pending deals belong to your old broker until they release them. Most do. On any pending they release, AXEN takes $0: no file fee, no split. Clients already under a signed agreement stay with your old broker until it ends. Your own contacts stay yours.
4Set up in week one
AXEN email, Lofty CRM and your IDX site, SkySlope, the portal and the app. Onboarding calls 1–4 in your first week.
5First file
Upload the contract. The Deal Desk assigns your coordinator. Your CDA is built in the portal.
6First check
Sales pay at closing. Your earnings statement and cap ring update live.
09 · Straight talk
Where others win
No brokerage is best at everything. Here is where we are not.
Company stock
eXp, Real, LPT and Epique award company stock. AXEN does not have a stock program.
Fees alone, on some flat plans
LPT's Business Builder plan ($500 a deal to a $5,000 cap) and Fathom's EDGE plan can cost less on fees alone. Neither puts a coordinator on every file — add that cost back before you compare.
Written vesting for rev share
Real and LPT publish when rev share becomes yours to keep or will to family. AXEN rev share pays while your people stay active with AXEN.
A year with almost no sales
At a broker with no monthly fee, a split takes nothing when you sell nothing. AXEN's platform fee ($50 a month, or $500 paid yearly) applies either way. From one or two deals up, AXEN costs less than every published plan on this page once you count a coordinator.
A household-name brand
Compass, Keller Williams and Coldwell Banker have more consumer name recognition.

| Leases, rentals and referrals | 10% of gross commission, max $500 on Pro or $1,000 on Elite; counts toward your cap; plus a $50 admin fee that pays your TC. AXEN pays you after the money arrives, not at closing |
| Platform fee | $50/month, $500/year, or $600 from your first closing. If that first closing pays under $2,500 of commission, only $50 for each month since you joined comes out; the rest comes from your next closing. MLS or board dues AXEN pays for you are passed through at cost |

Revenue share rules
- Five levels, no quota to unlock one. Each level is paid a flat $100 per fee-paying closing when the closing agent is on Pro or Mega, $200 when on Elite.
- Paid only on closings that carry a file fee, so it stops once that agent caps for the year. Not paid on state brokers' own deals.
- Sales under $2,500 of commission: the 10% fee is split evenly across the 5 levels ($2,000 commission = $200 fee = $40 a level).
- Leases, rentals and referrals: the whole 10% fee is split evenly across the 5 levels ($4,000 referral = $400 fee = $80 a level).
- Pays while you and the closing agent are active with AXEN. If you leave, your seat stays with AXEN; it does not move up.
- Can be held while AXEN recovers costs it fronted for that agent, or while a compliance matter is open.
- AXEN may change the schedule with 15 days' written notice.
- This describes how rev share is calculated. It is not a promise or estimate of earnings.

Questions
Pick a topic. Tap a question for the answer.
Is there a contract?
There is no long-term contract to stay. You can leave. Some add-ons (Reverse Sign-On, FSBO.com, Senior Planning) have their own terms — read them before you opt in.
What does it cost to start?
$0 to sign. Nothing is charged until your license is active with AXEN, and you can take the platform fee out of your first closing.
Which states?
Ask on the call. The portal's 'Licenses & MLS' page lists every state, board and license.
Can I bring my team?
Yes. Team leads set their own splits. There is a team plan with its own AXEN cap, and group transitions are the normal case here. Everything a team lead asks is on axenportal.com/teams
More questions (3)
My spouse and I are both agents. Do we each pay a cap?
No. Husband and wife teams share one cap. Your spouse gets full access for $50 a month, and you each get your own rev share line. Everything is on axenportal.com/couples
What happens to my pending deals?
They belong to your old broker until they release them. Most do. On anything they release, AXEN takes $0 — not a split, not a fee. Clients already under a signed agreement stay with your old broker until it ends. Your own contacts stay yours.
How long does the switch take?
About 10–20 minutes of paperwork on your end. Your state board and your old broker set the timing on your license and anything pending. Your state broker tells you what to expect for your state.
Is the coordinator really included?
Yes, on every sale. It is paid out of the $295 admin fee, which many agents pass to the client.
Can AXEN change the plan?
The agreement lets AXEN change the schedule with 15 days' written notice. You will always see it in writing first.
Do I keep my own leads?
Yes. 100%. AXEN company leads are opt-in and only those carry the 25% fee.
When does my cap reset?
On your anniversary with AXEN, not January 1.
More questions (6)
What if a deal pays under $2,500?
The file fee is just 10% of the commission. $2,000 commission = $200. $800 = $80.
What do leases and referrals cost?
10% of the gross commission, max $500 on Pro or $1,000 on Elite. It counts toward your cap, so once you cap it is $0. Plus a $50 admin fee each time that goes to your TC.
How do I get paid?
On a sale: at closing, by title directly or by AXEN as soon as funds arrive. Your CDA is built in the portal and due 5 days before closing. On a lease or referral: AXEN pays you once the money arrives, never at closing.
Can I be paid to my LLC?
Yes, with a W-9 in the entity's name.
Can I get an advance on a pending commission?
AXEN works with an outside funder and signs the authorization. AXEN does not lend.
Are there late-file penalties?
Only if a reviewer looks at a late file and approves one. Turn your paperwork in on time and there is nothing to pay.
What happens to my rev share if I leave?
Your seat stays with AXEN. Rev share pays while you and the agent who closed are active with AXEN.
Does rev share have unlock rules?
No. Level 1 is paid from the first fee-paying closing of an agent you bring in.
What if someone I brought in leaves?
Rev share on that agent stops when they are no longer active with AXEN.
Do I have to use NEXA, Agenta, Turbo or the warranty?
No. Your client chooses. You are never paid for sending them, and affiliated-business disclosures are given where required.
Who handles my paperwork?
A Deal Desk coordinator on every sale. You can pick one from the coordinator directory.
Who answers my contract questions?
The licensed state broker for your state.
What CRM and website do I get?
Lofty CRM and your own IDX website, set up in about 3 days, plus SkySlope for forms and compliance.
More questions (2)
What training is there?
AXEN University, the monthly Immersion mastermind, Level Up Live, weekly live Zoom trainings and 40+ how-to guides with video.
Can I send a client to another state?
Yes. Use the agent-to-agent referral map. You set the fee; the other agent accepts, counters or passes.
