For real estate teams

Bring the team.
Keep the economics.

No split from the leader. No split from the agents. A flat fee on each closing that stops for the year.

$0 to sign. Nothing is charged until a license is active with AXEN. If the math doesn’t work for your team, we’ll tell you on the first call.

A team member’s year$500 a closing, then it stops
Who takes whatYou set the splits. We take none.

01The deal

The short version.

Whatever your team agreement says about splits is simply what happens.

A team member's cap$6,000$500 a closing. About 12 closings in, then $0 a file until their anniversary.
Under $2,500 of commission? Just 10% of it. Still counts toward the cap.
No splitFrom the leader or the agents. Your team splits are yours.
Mega team plan$3,000cap for teams of 5+ agents doing $50M a year. Same $500 a file. A solo agent can't pick it.
$295admin per sale, even after cap. Pays the coordinator.
$50/moplatform, per agent. Or $500 a year.

A split charges the team twice.

Cut once on the way to the team. Cut again on the way to the agent. The brokerage takes a share of work it did not do.

A split brokerage

The brokerage takes first

  • Its cut comes off the top
  • Your best year costs the most
  • Reduced team caps come with gates

AXEN

You set the splits. We take none.

  • No split, from anyone
  • Your splits run in the portal
  • The stack comes with it
Why, line by lineWhat a split costs a team, and what AXEN does instead.
  • Its cut comes off the top: before your team agreement pays anybody.
  • Your best year costs the most: a split is a percentage. Double the team’s production and you double what the brokerage takes, for the same service.
  • AXEN: no split, from anyone. A flat $500 a closing that stops at the cap.
  • AXEN: your splits are stored in the portal and applied to each closing. Not reconciled by hand.
  • AXEN: a coordinator on every file, paid from the admin fee, and nine tools. None of them an upsell.
  • Reduced team caps: most national brokerages do cut the cap for team members. The deepest reductions are earned with volume minimums, agent-count minimums, or both — and they can be lost in a slower year.
  • The leader buys the stack: coordination, a CRM, a site for each agent, training — bought by the team, or billed to each agent as an upgrade.
  • Your splits live in a spreadsheet: the brokerage tracks its own cut. What your team owes each agent is yours to reconcile by hand.
  • Growth is a cost center: every agent you add is another seat to pay for before they close anything.

Named brokerages, priced on published plans with dates and sources, are on the full comparison. Team-specific caps are not published by those companies in anything primary, so this page describes the shape rather than quoting a figure we cannot source.

02What a team pays

The whole bill, on one screen.

No split to model, so this is all of it. Priced on the cap a team member gets by default.

A 20% splitAXEN, all in

Over a year, one agent on a 20% split costs $21,600 at 12 closings, rising with every closing. The same agent at AXEN costs $10,140, because the file fee stops at the $6,000 cap.

AXEN’s line still rises after the cap, because the admin fee is per file. Drawing it flat would overstate us.

Every fee ruleAdmin, platform, leaders, leases and the cap year.
  • A team member runs on the $6,000 cap, the same as Pro.
  • Under $2,500 of commission? The file fee is just 10% of it, and it still counts toward the cap.
  • The $295 admin fee is on every sale, even after cap. It pays the agent’s Deal Desk coordinator and the state broker’s review. Many agents pass it to the client.
  • The platform fee is $50 a month or $500 a year: the CRM, the IDX site, SkySlope, the AI studio — the whole toolkit.
  • Leaders run on Pro ($500 a file, $6,000 cap) or Elite ($1,000 a file, $12,000 cap).
  • Leases and referrals cost 10% of the commission, max $500 ($1,000 on Elite), and count toward the cap, plus a $50 admin fee that goes to the coordinator (not $295).
  • The cap runs from each agent’s own AXEN anniversary, not Jan 1.
  • The calculator uses $600 a year for the platform fee.

03For the leader and the team

Run the team inside the brokerage. Hold nothing back.

Splits, onboarding and the books are portal features here. Team members get the same desk as anyone.

Your roster

Every agent, every cap, live

Each agent’s own progress to their cap, without asking accounting.

Six things the portal runs for youSplits, onboarding, recruiting, the ledger, sub-teams, defaults.
  • Your split schedule, applied: your team’s splits live in the portal and are applied to each closing, by role and by category, instead of being reconciled by hand afterwards.
  • Your own onboarding packet: agents joining your team sign your packet, on your template, instead of a generic one.
  • Your own recruiting offer: publish the offer your team makes — headline, promise, what you add — as its own page.
  • A team ledger: what the team is owed and what it has paid out, kept with the closings rather than away from them.
  • Sub-teams: a team can sit under another team, so a larger organization keeps its shape.
  • Your lender, title and warranty: set the team’s defaults once. Your client is never required to use any of them.
For the agents on the teamSame desk, same nine tools, same training. Not a lesser tier.

04Building beyond the team

Revenue share, five levels deep.

A team agreement pays you on your team’s production. Revenue share pays you on everyone you bring to AXEN, whether or not they join your team.

Not a promise of income. This is how revenue share is structured.
How it pays, and the ladderPer closing, every level. Five named levels.
  • $100 per closing per level when the agent is on Pro or Mega, $200 on Elite.
  • Paid only on closings that carry a file fee, so it stops once that agent caps.
  • Sales under $2,500 of commission pay 1/5 of their 10% fee per level.
  • Leases, rentals and referrals split their 10% fee evenly across the 5 levels.
  • Separate from whatever your team agreement pays you.
  • Qualifying teams can also apply for a joint venture. AXEN has no stock program, and the joint venture is the only ownership path.

05Moving the team

Group transitions are the normal case.

Your agents, your listings and your pendings move together.

  1. 1Everyone moves together

Routine here, not an exception somebody improvises.

  2. 2License and MLS

We handle the transfer paperwork with each agent’s state.

  3. 3Listings and pendings

They transfer without interrupting a live deal — and a pending your old broker releases costs $0.

  4. 4Live onboarding

Four sessions in week one with a person on the other end, for each agent.

What stays yours, and what comes with youYour brand, your database, E&O from day one.
  • Your brand stays yours: your team keeps its name. You are not re-badged.
  • Your database stays yours: it moves into tools you did not have to buy.
  • E&O from day one: coverage and legal protection for every agent.
  • Credit for what you paid: on Elite, for what you paid toward your old cap this year.

Questions team leaders ask

Can I bring my whole team to AXEN Realty?

Yes. Group transitions are normal here — your agents, your listings and your pendings move together, and your team keeps its own name and brand.

What does a team member pay at AXEN?

There is no commission split. A team member pays $500 per closing, which stops at $6,000 for the year — after that, file fees are $0 until their anniversary. Teams of 5 or more agents doing $50M a year in volume qualify for the Mega team plan, which caps at $3,000 instead at the same $500 a file. The $295 admin fee per file and the $50 a month platform fee apply either way.

How does a team qualify for the Mega team plan?

Teams of 5 or more agents producing $50M a year in volume qualify. The Mega plan caps a team member's closing fees at $3,000 for the year instead of $6,000, at the same $500 a file.

More questions8 more answers: Mega, leaders, sub-teams, rev share and more.
Who sets the splits between the team and its agents?

You do. AXEN does not take a split from anyone, so whatever your team agreement says is what happens. Your split schedule is stored in the portal and applied to each closing, rather than tracked in a spreadsheet outside the brokerage.

Does the team leader pay the same as the members?

The leader is on their own plan — Pro at $500 a file capped at $6,000, or Elite at $1,000 a file capped at $12,000, which adds the in-person masterminds and the reverse sign-on credit. The team plan is for the agents on the team.

Can a two-person partnership share one cap?

Yes. Partnership teams share a single cap and can see each other's numbers in the portal. Husband and wife teams work this way: one cap, and the spouse's only extra cost is the $50 a month platform fee (or $500 a year). See axenrealty.com/couples.

What happens to our pending deals when we move?

They transfer without interrupting a live deal. Pendings your old brokerage releases cost you $0 at AXEN — no file fee and no split on them.

Do my agents still get a transaction coordinator?

Every sale gets a named Deal Desk coordinator, for every agent on the team, paid out of the $295 admin fee on the file. Elsewhere, the team usually hires and pays its own.

Can we keep our team name and branding?

Yes. You are not re-badged. Your team keeps its identity, and your database stays yours.

Do team leaders earn revenue share on the agents they bring?

Yes — five levels deep, with no quota to unlock a level. It is $100 a level per closing on Pro or Mega and $200 on Elite, paid only while that agent is paying a file fee, and it is separate from whatever your team agreement pays you. It is not a promise of income.

Can a team have sub-teams under it?

Yes. A team can sit under another team in the portal, so a larger organization keeps its structure instead of flattening into one list.

Start with your own numbers.

Bring your roster and last year’s production. We price it on the published plans, in front of you.

AXEN Realty, LLC. Commissions are negotiable and are not set by any brokerage. Every AXEN agent hangs their license under a named managing broker in their state, and any firm license can be checked against that state’s real estate commission. Plans described here are the published plans and can change.
